Shawn literally grew up in the back of an editing room, keeping her parents company as they produced hundreds of hours of television. The passion for great television is in her genes.

She arrived at True Entertainment in January 2004, fresh from executive producing TLC's Trading Spaces Family, holding the reins for 45 episodes. It was the perfect transition to running Style Network's Guess Who's Coming to Decorate for True.

She was promoted to Executive Producer in October 2004 and has wrangled TLC's Town Haul and Style's Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? through two memorable seasons, and now also heads up Style's Married Away.

Prior to gaining expertise in the world of design shows, Shawn was a producer and writer for VH1, Dr. Phil, Extra, WNYW news, The Travel Channel's Top Ten, TLC's A Wedding Story, various MTV shows and The Bravest, a reality show featuring firefighters all over the country. Two of the firehouses featured in her shows were New York's Rescue 1 and Rescue 2, who together lost 17 men on September 11, 2001. Shawn was in charge of writing and producing the memorial segment honoring those men.

Shawn also was Supervising Producer for Spa Finder, a television show that brought Spa Finder Magazine to life. Ironically, it was the most stressful job she's had to date. She also co-created and co-executive produced a pilot for Bravo that focused on incredible works of art.

Shawn graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
