True is currently producing a full line-up of broadcast and cable programming for many different networks:
TLC
A BABY STORY, winner of Emmy Awards in 2003 and 2006, continues to be one of the top-rated programs on daytime TV. Now in our 10th season, the series celebrates the miracle of birth and explores the hopes, dreams, and fears of impending parenthood - and was also nominated for Emmys in 2004, 2005, and 2007. Season 11 is currently airing, and production has started on Season 12.
EMERGENCY LEVEL ONE is an exciting new series that takes place at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the toughest trauma center in America. We follow a tireless group of ER doctors, trauma surgeons, nurses, and residents as they work around the clock to save lives.
True chronicles the dramas of starting a family in MAKE ROOM FOR MULTIPLES – only these families are bringing home babies (with an "s")! Whether they are twins, triplets, or more, the challenges of the first weeks with multiples can easily overwhelm new and experienced parents alike. But the joys are multiplied too! Episodes are currently airing on TLC.
Production has started on the new series CRAVING COMFORT, which travels the country, exploring variations of the simple, sumptuous dishes that everyone craves. Not just a cooking series, CRAVING COMFORT is about the experience shared with favorite foods, and the stories they embody.
Also new for TLC is UNFAITHFUL, in which we follow two stories of infidelity from beginning to end and learn what happened from the perspectives of the people involved— the cheater, the victim, the "other" and the friends and family affected by the betrayal.
STYLE
True brings our storytelling skills to WHOSE WEDDING IS IT ANYWAY, the series that captures the drama, humor and chaos that goes into planning a real American wedding. Season 10 is currently airing.
DISCOVERY HEALTH
Season 9 of MYSTERY DIAGNOSIS, our highly rated, highly acclaimed series that examines the real medical mysteries of patients whose symptoms initially defied diagnosis, is currently airing and season 7 is in production.
BRAVO
The hit series THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA follows five women from Atlanta's social elite – from NBA and NFL wives to sassy single moms – as they juggle their burgeoning careers and busy home lives with the whirl of the south's hottest city.
LOGO
In each episode of the new reality comedy series THE ROBERT VERDI SHOW STARRING ROBERT VERDI, Robert balances the day-to-day antics of his hectic creative services business with the serious pursuit of his completely insane and over the top dreams. The series premieres in February 2010.
Also premiering for LOGO in 2010 is KEPT, the hot new docuseries following the real lives of New York City's gay homemakers and socialites.
SCIENCE CHANNEL
During each episode of CATCH IT KEEP IT three contestants test their scientific and engineering mettle against Science Channel's "engineer of destruction," Mike Senese, who devises dastardly schemes uniquely designed to obliterate the prize of the week.
RECENT FICTION PROJECTS
January 24, 2005 marked the worldwide premiere of True's first made-for-television movie, WIDOW ON THE HILL, for Lifetime. Produced in association with Lion's Gate Television, this true-crime thriller achieved the second highest rating of all programs on cable television that week. Natasha Henstridge and James Brolin star.
True worked with Lifetime on a new movie of the week called WHO KILLED MARILYN MONROE? that aired in 2007.
RECENT NON-FICTION PROJECTS
The last few years have been a period of extraordinary creative and business successes for True Entertainment. Here's a brief summary:
PERSONAL JUSTICE (TLC): In each story presented in this first-person crime series, a hero reveals their extraordinarily personal journey to find a single truth: how or why their loved one suffered a tragic death or a seemingly senseless act of violence.
WRECKREATION NATION with Dave Mordal (Discovery): In every episode, comedian Dave Mordal tests his manhood against all things wild – be it man, beast or crudely fashioned explosive device.
BATTLE OF THE BODS (Fox Reality): is a steamy, comedic and explosive new game show in which five sexy girls are ranked in order of attractiveness by a panel of judges... and by themselves.
MARRIED AWAY (Style): This series follows two couples, their families and their wedding planners all over the world in search of the perfect wedding, capturing all the joy, unpredictability and drama of having the Big Day far away
PERSONAL CONVICTION (TruTV): True Entertainment produced two episodes of PERSONAL CONVICTION, in which real people tell their powerful stories of how they solved their own criminal cases and mysteries. The episodes aired in May 2008.
BAND IN A BUBBLE (MTV): What's a rock band from Georgia doing trapped in a transparent container in New York City? Welcome to BAND IN A BUBBLE, where the members of Cartel put themselves under a microscope to give fans a real-time look into the making of their second album.
DESIGN STAR (HGTV): True produced two seasons of the highest-rated show in the HGTV's history. This 10-episode competition pairs aspiring interior designers with American families who want to makeover their homes. Viewers help choose the top designer - who will then host a 13-episode series on the network.
MY CELEBRITY WEDDING WITH THE KNOT (Style): In this one-hour special, True joined with wedding planning website The Knot to recreate Christina Aguilera's wedding to Jordan Bratman for one lucky real-life couple.
MYSTERY MEDICINE (Discovery): A medical series that showed the process of diagnosing patients with mysterious symptoms from the doctors' perspective.
A WORLD AWAY (ABC): True's broadcast network debut gave American families culture shock when they left the comforts of home for life in some of the most remote areas of the world.
GASTINEAU GIRLS (E!): A reality sitcom that chronicled the lives, loves and lingerie of New York socialites Lisa and Brittny Gastineau
TOWN HAUL (TLC): This uplifting series gave a facelift to an entire small town.
OPERATION HOMECOMING (TLC): A heartwarming series that profiled American soldiers reuniting with families after a tour of duty in Iraq.
UNWRAPPING MACY'S (WE): A docu-soap that followed the inner workings of Macy's from the Thanksgiving Parade to Santa Land to an exciting new push to make Macy's a fashion destination like no other.
WHAT'S YOUR SIGN, DESIGN? (HGTV): In this design series, an astrologer helped couples design their homes according to their signs.
UNDER ONE ROOF (HGTV): A series that helped couples moving in together find room inside their homes.
REBUILT: THE HUMAN BODY SHOP (Discovery Health): A fascinating 8-episode docu-soap that followed a family-owned prosthetic limb practice in Suburban Virginia.
GO AHEAD MAKE MY DINNER (TLC): Our U.S. adaptation of READY STEADY COOK, the hugely successful Endemol U.K. format, featured two highly regarded chefs who competed to create fantastic dishes in just 20 minutes using basic ingredients found in most kitchens.
HELP WANTED (TLC): An over-the-top game show in which real people competed for real jobs.
GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DECORATE (Style): A series that combined home makeovers with surprise reunions.
WORLDS APART (National Geographic): A high-concept reality program in which typical American families lived with families in remote parts of the world.
28 DAYS IN REHAB (Discovery Health): A series that took an unprecedented, searing look inside the world of drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS (National Geographic): A series with exclusive access to the international humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders, who told their remarkable and dramatic stories. Golden Globe winner Kiefer Sutherland narrated.
WOMEN DOCS (Lifetime): A primetime series following the lives of pioneering female physicians in hospitals around the country. The series also launched Lifetime's new all-reality channel, Lifetime Real Women.
DOUBLE VISION (Discovery Home) set a pair of identical twin decorators loose to decorate two rooms in the same house. Featuring Jayne and Joan Michaels, the 10-episode series aired in Spring 2005.
110 STORIES (TLC): An Emmy-nominated, powerful re-telling of the 9/11 disaster through the eyes of survivors who worked in the World Trade Center.
ROCKMED (VH1): A series which followed a team of doctors, nurses and paramedics who spend their nights providing free medical care at rock concerts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
DEARLY DEPARTED (TLC): A series chronicling the real-life dramas and quirky lifestyles of undertakers.
SEX, DICE & VEGAS (TLC): The true story behind the high-rollers in sin city.
LABOR & DELIVERY (TLC): An innovative and emotionally gripping look at childbirth in both inner city and suburban hospitals around the country.
And for over two years, True produced all original programming for SOAPNET, Disney/ABC's 24-hour soap opera channel, including SOAPCENTER, a weekly half-hour magazine show covering the world of soaps. The line-up also included the channel's daily news and feature updates, as well as a series of hour-long specials.
Also on the air in 2003 were THE GEOGRAPHY OF CRIME AND PUNISHMENT and THE GEOGRAPHY OF WEALTH, specials exploring the issues of justice and wealth in a wide range of cultures around the world.
CO-PRODUCTIONS
With our Canadian partner company MAD RIVER, True has built strong relationships with Canadian broadcasters for co-productions, including DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS, which airs on Canada's Life Network.
